11th October 2026

The Cumbrian Cracker is one of the original Lakeland cycle sportives, with Grasmere Village hosting the start, finish and Race HQ. For the 2026 edition we retain the 100 mile option together with the original 60 mile route.

1st November 2026

Bowland Bikes CIC are proud to announce the return of this classic 100km Autumn sportive. The route will follow a loop anti clockwise around the Lancashire/Yorkshire border, taking in the spectacular climb of Bowland Knotts (hence the Sportive name), looping back around the beautiful Ribble Valley.

The iconic Cheshire Cat was one of the first major Sportives and remains one of the must do events in the UK cycling calendar, great routes, fantastic feed stations, the classic Mow Cop all at the Velo29 great price!

4th April 2027

The Lakeland Loop Cycle Sportive is a challenging cycling sportive. Starting from the New Dungeon Ghyll Hotel in Great Langdale, the Loop is approximately 69 miles long, taking in some of the finest views of the Lake District and some its most challenging climbs.
